Enterprise AI
Enterprise AI describes AI systems built for the access controls, deployment requirements and scale of a company rather than an individual.
The model is rarely what makes a system enterprise-grade. The difference is everything around it: whether access follows the company’s existing identity and permissions, whether it can be deployed where the company’s data policy requires, whether actions are auditable, and whether it degrades gracefully when one connected system is down.
This is why consumer tools and enterprise platforms diverge even when they use the same underlying models. A consumer tool optimises for a single user getting a good answer quickly. An enterprise platform optimises for thousands of users getting answers consistent with what each of them is allowed to know.
