AI business intelligence lets people ask questions about company data in plain language, instead of specifying a dashboard and waiting for someone to build it.
Traditional BI front-loads the work. Someone decides which questions are worth answering, models the data, and builds a dashboard for them. Questions outside that set either go unasked or join a queue. AI-powered BI inverts the order: the question comes first, and the system works out which tables, joins and filters answer it.
The accuracy of that depends almost entirely on what the system knows about the data, not on how well it writes queries. It needs to know which table is the system of record for a metric, what the company means by terms like "active account" or "closed won", and which fields have been deprecated. Without that, a fluent answer to a plain-language question is a confident guess.
